*** UPDATE***
I did not realize when we started this blog hop that there were so many bloggers who had never participated in one before and were unfamiliar with a lot of the terminology we use.
Please forgive me! I had no idea!
Allow me to explain:
A blog hop is also known as blog hopping, where you move from one blog to another to read entries or to leave comments. It is a great way to connect with other like minded bloggers or to build up your blogging network. It is often "hosted" by a blogger who will manage the link up and provide you with the opportunity to join.
In our case, I {Megan} am the host of the Southern Mama's Blog Hop. I have asked Sonja, Missi, and Kimberly to join me as co-hosts. They help me promote the blog hop through various social media sites and assist me in engaging in conversations with the bloggers who participate each week. One of the ways they help me spread the word is to embed an HTML code in one of their blog posts that will allow their readers to link up to the blog hop directly from their site.
Like so:
Click "Join this site" with Google Friend Connect and follow the prompt.
Missi and Kimberly are powered through WordPress, so to follow their blogs, you will need to do the following:
Next, click on various URLs to visit some of the other bloggers who have participated in the blog hop.
You can follow along with them if you'd like or just leave a comment letting them know that you found their blog via the Southern Mama's blog hop.
Again, the purpose is to connect with other ladies who share similar interests with you and to have some fun!
Next week we will begin featuring a "Co-host of the Week" meaning one of you lovely ladies will have the opportunity to play hostess for the blog hop that week.
If you are interested in being the "Co-host of the Week" simply contact Megan at megan{dot}card{at}gmail{dot}com.
I will put you on the schedule and when it is your week to co-host, I will send you the HTML code along with instructions.
If you have any questions at all or are still unsure of how this all works, please feel free to email me!
I would hate for anyone to not participate simply because they did not understand the terminology.
P.S. I have two giveaways going on right now. Have you entered?!

Once your link has been added to the blog hop, it will show up on all four of our sites.
Pretty neat, isn't it!
As a way of saying Thank You and to ensure that no one is abusing the blog hop to merely promote themselves, we have asked that you visit each of the hostess and follow their blogs.
Both Megan and Sonja are powered through Blogger, so in order to follow their blog, here is what you do:
On the sidebar {located on the right} you will see something something along these lines.
